I have a few questions for you:
What do you think of creationism? Evolution?
Have you ever read a book called "The God Delusion?" This book is intellectually stimulating and eye-opening. Keep your mind open if you haven't read this book.
Can you tell me why the Bible consists of selected accounts and writings? What about the rest? I think this explains why fundamentalists (I know there are moderates and the likes) who believe in it literally interpret all accounts to be accurately true in the sense of the flesh. Without the rest of the accounts, the accounts are open to a wide variety of interpretations and manipulation, some deadly and some not.
Why are all Bible authors male? This reeks of something wrong. I suppose the monopoly was reflective of that era in which the male dominated the landscape.
Is the Bible accurate? The reason why I ask is because the Bible was written several centuries later after Jesus was crucified. Accounts and writings are passed from one generation to another generation and so on. A sentence or a phrase is naturally altered when it is passed on to next person. You heard of Chinese Whispers? This may explain a ton of glaring discrepancies and illogicity in the Bible. Faith can't sweep them under the rug.
All religions have common denominators, similar elements birth of their respective cultures, and beliefs. How do you know which religion is right? Blindsided by faith, or by what feels right or makes sense? Not good enough for me.
Do you know the stories in the Bible are very similar to polytheistic religions such as paganism? Even beliefs, practices, and symbols are similar. This may explain many origins in the Bible. Do you think this might explain the evolution of religion from polytheism to monotheism purely out of people's discontent and hunger for the truth. After all, people want certainty, but life does not offer it. They are scared of the unknown especially the afterlife so they create stories or myths to deal with the mysterious reality.
I am an atheist at heart. Don't get me wrong, but please remember that no one is wrong or right. Faith can't decide what is wrong or right. I take full responsibility for inaccuracies and invite you to enligthen me.

Well, according to the previous question, Let's say, here is what I have been learning in my religion courses here at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC, yes, the bible is accurate, it was based on oral tradition until a few centries after Jesus. There may have been very few people who could write at the time, and back in the days, writing supplies were very expensive. In addition, when Jesus came back after his resurrection, he said he will be back to take us to our eternal home, but never said when. Everybody who heard that thought Jesus would come back quickly. Days turned into years, and by the time the disciples were dying, they realized that Jesus wasn't coming back as soon as they thought, so they decided to start writing things down. There may be some thiings in the bible that confuses us like the 4 gospels. Thie gospel according to St. John is very different than the first 3 which is called the synoptic gospels. Matthew, Mark, and Luke are very similar. Bible experts believe that Matthew and Luke used Mark as their source to write their gospels, and there are probably some points where Matthew and Luke felt like Mark left something out and needed to add, or the other way around, take out some information they didn't feel that was important.
I think bibical authors were all males because they didn't have as much respect for females in Jesus' time as we do today.
I also personally do not think evolution exists because in Genesis, it is very clear that God created every thing, and nobody knows the source of God. Maybe it's not for us to know while we're on Earth?
And Noah... why is it important to be baptized to show our faith? Can we also do that through serving HIM and attending to church?

I'm glad that you brought up those questions. I agree with Nicole from LRC in regard to how she answers your two questions. But, I still have some more arguments to share. I also have several arguments in my mind to answer your other questions. So, look forward to my next vlog. Thanks again!

I agree with you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to engaging more positive debates with you in future!

You know, a wonderful book that I read that I want to tell all of you and more about is Lee Strobel's "The Case for Christ." I have been a Christian since I was 6 (off and on in my life, but definitely improving as an adult) and this book really strengthened my arguments when I had been limited to my "faith-based" arguments before. My husband was not a Christian before we married and he read this book. My husband is very analytical and scientifically-minded. He doesn't give a hoot about someone's faith argument. He became a Christian immediately after reading this book. The author was an atheist, set out to prove that the whole story was a fake, like a lawyer, and ended up a Christian at the end. This is a wonderful book for many to add to their libraries if they are ever faced with folks who don't respond to the "faith" argument. My words don't do it justice. It changed my husband, who's a stubborn, too smart for his own good, man. :)

For atheists, there are more atheists especially scientists who become christians than christians who become atheists according to my research. I was once an atheist but it was when I was a teenager.
I don't believe that we, the human beings, randomly appear on the earth. There must be a purpose why we are on the earth and we choose to believe in God as our creator/intelligent designer or not.
For anyone who want to find the truth about the bible, check on www.coralridge.org, www.biblebb.com, www.chick.com and www.ankerberg.org. Or you can go to christian bookstore and find the books written by some authors of apologetics(defense of bibical theology) especially Les Strobel and C.S. Lewis who were once atheists. To save your money, go to bible-believing churchs and borrow the book from their the library
Nothing will ever convince me that the bible is fiction since I had an unexpectantly spiritual awakening through fourth dimension as I repented by surrendering my worldly life to let holy spirit guide me.
God, thanks for sending Jesus to the earth.

Skyblue/Tom Krohn-
Thanks for sharing! Yes, I agree with you about the books and links you suggested. I especially suggest people to read Lee Strobel's The Case for Fath and The Case for Christ. I use those two books to support claims I make in my vlogs. Occassionally, I will bring up some objections from Charles Templeton's Farewell to God. Letters from a Skeptic by Dr. Gregory A. Boyd and Edward K. Boyd is also a must-read book. C.S. Lewis... who doesn't love him?

I just wanted to comment about "Where is Jesus now". I believe Jesus will come on cloud and bring all of the believers to go with him. Not just everyone. Just thought you wanted to know this.
Thanks.
