Hello. We must not forget two core truths, however unpopular they may be.
1: There's an enemy lurking around us in this world.
John 10:10 The thief (satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
2: When people chose to forsake God and His ways, they're on their own.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live...
So, in summary, do not give credit where credit isn't due... The enemy is responsible for the sufferings.
Also, God did not leave Africa.... Africa left God.

I agree with you, Eric. I always like use this story as an example of what you've said. You probably know this, anyway.
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."
"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

I know this is a stupids question, but isnt your site aligned mainly to Christanity? If so, then I still see the need for a website where all kinds of beliefs are embraced and discussed. As a deaf wife to a Jewish man converted from Christanity, I find Judaism so believable, fitting and yet so distant due to lack of Deaf Jewish leaders providing access. Woiuld you be interested in discussing issues relating to other faiths rather than staying fosucsed on Jesus unless I am mistaken that you do not see accepting Jesus is the only way to reach the mysteries. I am just blabbing along, but Im sure you get the gist.

Anonymous,
I glad you ask this question, because I want to make it clear that The Lux Forum is an open forum for anybody with any belief to share his/her beliefs, philosophies, objections, concerns, and ideas. Yes, I am a Christian and believe that Jesus Christ is the way, and the truth, and the life. That's why I present different topics with biblical perspectives. BUT, this does not mean that my blog is close to perspectives of other religions. My goal is to open to arguments and objections against my statements I make in my vlogs. Also, I open to any kind of agreements with extended statements. Keep in your mind this is an open forum :) Look forward to hearing from you more.

Anonymous,
Ah, I forgot to add this to my previous comment. If you are interested in learning about different religions more, don't be hesitated to e-mail me or submit a comment to my blog with questions. I'm familiar with several religions and have been studied Judaism a lot myself. I will be glad to try to answer your questions and research for more information.

Noah,
Thank you for the welcome mat. I appreciate your sincerity and honesty. In the Christian world, I am naturally hesistant to such welcome mat due to the prosthelyzing nature of Jesus followers. Jesus is the truth and the ONLY way. I do have a big problem with this type of thinking. Dont you think ther are other ways to get to know G-d? The most attractive thing about Judaism is that Jews believe all religions are pathways to get to know G-d or the Answer to our existence. Are you saying that the Lux Forum is a place for people of different faiths can come and share perspectives about life in general? Or is the Lux Form a place with Christian roots?
BTW, where do I go to drop a line or two whenever I have an itch in the head.

Anna-
Thank you for your comment. No, this is forum is not a place with Christian roots… unless only Christian participate this forum. So far, people with different beliefs e-mail me their questions and submit their comments stating about how they look forward to various discussions. So, that’s why I encourage people with different beliefs to listen and appeal and/or support arguments I make in my vlogs. I will make sure this open forum is open to everyone and generates many positive debates.
Thank you for bringing up your opinion about the exclusivity of Christianity. I will soon upload the vieo explaining about exclusivity in religions.
Also, I soon will upload the video explaining how we can easily participate this forum.
Thanks again!
