Standing up WAVING HANDS!
My god, what an orator you are! I am very proud of your accomplishments and proving those idiots wrong BIG TIME. I would love to watch you SPEAK. You are a master at that. You got my emotions on a roller coaster! But I am glad I am able to get off it with good ending.

"Go join debate team at Special Olympics," hilarious. I read the newsgroup comments as well. Ouch, some people. You challenged the norm, good!

Noah,
You did a bravo job! I agree with you that we must go through no matter what happened. We are human beings and we can communicate. The people who opposed you are children of invalid Aristotle. It means taht they are very very ancient ones!!!
Keep up

You are a fine example of what "preservance" means to the deaf community! We are keeping a close eye on you, you have the makings of becoming of great deaf people of the 21st century, next to Barb Digi, Jay, Carl, to name a few :-)

That "he isn't speaking so how are we supposed to judge his speech" argument on cross-x always drives me crazy.
You do great things.

Noah,
May I contact with you in other way like your email address in privacy that I have serious questions to ask you about my spiritual life? I don't want others to read my comments that they might suspect it's from me. Thank you!

Way to go, Noah! I am deaf and want to share with you my little story.
I went to an university (all hearing) and took a course in Speech and Public Address. (The university had a wonderful interpreter program.) I had a great professor, a hearing man who believed that everyone was equal. After listening to my informative speech about the deaf for the class assignment, he encouraged me to join the speech contest and I did. Among the hearing people who were in the contest, I won first place. That was back in 1975.
So after listening to you, I am pleased to know that you won the debates and the foresenics. Congratulations!

hey Noah, it might be a good idea to start up that debate again in the forums...
The hearing world still hasn't figured out the deaf culture yet, and it is up to us to fix that.
I'm sure that we are able to make changes in this world for the better and stop the discrimination against the deaf... I mean an African American became President, that means we can do anything. Does a deaf person have to become the President of the United States to finally solve the conflict between Hearing and Deaf cultures?
