Double, Double Toil and Trouble in Milwaukee!
We need to discuss more about what exactly is the big vision we want to achieve for the future of our deaf children. One particular thing nobody can deny that it is capable of shattering our vision very easily is the infection AG Bell Association and other audist organizations are spreading all over the country.

Wow, you have made a great comment about this coming summer. Another new infection will harm us. We have to do something by outsmart them. We can do that. Of course we can do taht!

Well, I must say, you're a good story teller. In fact, I think you'd be great in doing a reading of one of Harry Potter's book in ASL! :)
I do have one question for you. Do you think C.I. has any place in deaf culture? What if hearing parents wants their child to have everything possible and gives their child a C.I. and yet at the same time ensures that their child is immersed in deaf culture.

I just love your analogy of SOMETHING. You have outstanding imagination and articulate it very well! You're every professor's dream philosopher.

LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED YOUR MACBETH RENDITION!!! :)
I agree completely with your vision- that ALL parents are educated IN ADVANCE, so when their Deaf children are born, problem zero!
I am so excited at this current political renewal among the Deaf community.
See you in Milwaukee. Be on the lookout for a major announcement by DBC soooooon.

Actually, the reason AGBell picked the term "brewing" relates to Milwaukee's fame for brewing beer - there were and continue to be a number of breweries in the city which produce various beers... all a part of the city's German heritage. (It's famous for its brats and sausages as well!)
It has nothing to do with a witch's brew.

Great vlog! beautiful signing! excellent points! Hope you will do more like that.
Anonymous, of course we know "Brewin'" on the surface refers to the famous beer breweries of Milwaukee, B U T ... it's open to another possible interpretation such as Noah's.
Also, another interesting piece of information that is open to interpretations is their opening night show title "A Barrel of MONKEYS"---supposedly a fun family evening, but I can't help feel insulted by that, knowing Oralism boomed during the era of Social Darwinism when people like AGBell believed that humans evolved to be higher beings than monkeys, and labelled Deaf signers "monkeys" as a way for other Deaf people to be embarrassed about signing. For AGBell to choose that title sends chills up my spine.

YES- Education is important! I believe the Deaf community needs to be in better contact with the school district. They recognize Deaf/HOH children and begin to teach by age three. Imagine if the Deaf community were available to them to help answer questions and introduce them to the Deaf World! I was a Deaf teacher for 3 1/2 years, and parents never interacted with the Deaf community, though I encouraged them to! They were always confused and didn't know what to do.

Hi all: Thanks! I really wish I could go to the conference in Milwaukee, but my cousin's wedding is on that weekend. But I will be FERVENTLY praying that the conference will make many long-lasting impacts on both deaf and hearing people there and around! Long Live ASL!
