Deaf People Can Do Anything, EVEN Hear

I'm trying not to be too romantic or realistic with this. The argument the Deaf uses against the audists, "Deaf people can do anything, expect hear", seems weak to me. I believe that Deaf people can hear, but simply in a different way than how hearing people hear.

You raised a good and interesting point.

Good vlog.

By the way, off the point, are you in Scotland now or what? I recall you getting the letter of acceptance to a college in Scotland last year?

:o)

Interesting!

i absolutely agree. the way we understand the phrase "the deaf can do everything, except hear" depends on our definition of "hear".

Are you married? You got a ring on your left married finger.....????

Hi all: Thank you for you comments!

Karen Mayes: Yeah, I got accepted to two universities in Scotland. But, I decide it would be best for me if I attend to Wheaton College in Illinois. I really glad I made that decision, because a lot of things related to raising awareness of the Deaf culture is happening on the campus right now even though I am the only deaf student there. I hope I will be able to make a vlog on that and set up a new vlog for the ASL Club at Wheaton College soon.

Cheryl: Nope, I am not married yet. The ring on my left hand is my purity ring. Song of Songs 2:16 is engraved on it in Hebrew :-)

Noah

you make good point about hear. How do we understand through communicate by our eye hear. Same with hearing people how do they understand communicate? by hear that simple. The word hear means understand
