I am impressed with this blog. Someone who has realised what needs to be done. Winstoine Churchill in the UK said "Jaw-Jaw, is better than war-war...", too...
Cool! Good Work. And I think you are right about the "planting a seed" with those who drop out.
My interest/education starting with a Deaf person speaking up for another deaf person's rights (http://billcreswell.wordpress.com/new-page/)
It's been interesting to see how I have continued to be drawn in and stay interested in learning ASL, despite the fact that I am learning sooooooo slowly. I haven't stopped despite my frustration, because God continues to bring more deaf/Deaf people into my life.
I am on the board of a Deaf services group (God really only knows why), but it has brought a little more seriousness to it when I advocate (read PUSH) for captioning and access in different places, including my own church.
Thanks for captioning too, as my comprehension is such that if I lose what someone is signing for more than 10/15 seconds, I find it difficult to concentrate.
