Statement of faith
The Holy Scriptures
The Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, is the authorative Word of God. The Holy Scriptures is God-breathed and life-giving. Human interpretations of the Holy Scriptures can be errenous, thus we pray that God spares us from making mistakes and blesses us with the Spirit who shall guide us to understand the Holy Scriptures. We are to read the Holy Scriptures in light of the world, but we are to read the world in light of the Holy Scriptures. The church that hears and responds to the Word will be able to be a prophetic voice in this wilderness and bring healing to a confused and troubled world.
The Triune God
"Hear, O Israel: Adonai our God, Adonai is one. Love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" (Deutermony 6:4-5). We believe that Adonai is the one and only God from whom and through whom and to whom are all things (Romans 11:36). Adonai is the creator and ruler of the universe. Adonai has eternally existed in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. These three are distinct Persons and one in Being.
God and the world are separated by our Sin. We cannot understand God by ourselves, we need revelation of God in this world. God has provided that revelation through the Holy Scriptures, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. However, we cannot fully comprehend God until we are united with God in the last days as God has proised to God's children.
The Gospel
The Gospel is the Good News of the Kingdom of God and of salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God in the broadest sense is God's supreme sovereignty. God's reign is now manifest in the church and in the life of each believer who is submissive to God's will. The Kingdom of God will be fully manifest over the whole world after the return of Jesus Christ.
Salvation
Salvation is the restoration of human fellowship with God and the deliverance from the bondage of sin and death. Salvation is given by the grace of God and experienced through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by personal merit or good works. God calls on every person to enter that divine fellowship, which has been secured for humanity in Jesus Christ and its embodied by Jesus as the beloved of the Father at the Father's right hand.
The Church
The Church, the Body of Christ, consists of all who trust in Jesus Christ. The Church is commissioned to make disciples of Jesus by reaching out in love to all people, nuturing and baptizing those who believe, and teaching believers to obey all that Christ commanded. In fulfilling this mission, the Church is directed by the Holy Scriptures, led by the indwelling Holy Spirit, and looks continually to Jesus Christ, its living Head.
